The John A. Keogh, Council 2108, Knights at IHM have been active within our community through the Food for Families Program as follows:

The Knights of Columbus have supported the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal for more than a decade.  Food donations are collected from Stop & Shop, Acme and from food drives held at various parishes in our area including IHM and delivered every Saturday to the CFR- Sisters. Our donations support Fr. Solanus Casey Soup Kitchen inside the Convent which provides hot meals & friendship to 80+ people who come each Saturday for lunch. Since the pandemic, the nuns suspended the offering of indoor dining but brought meals into the streets to feed the poor. They still prepare food for pickup every Saturday at the door of the Solanus Casey Soup Kitchen and expect they will resume the indoor meals once the pandemic ends. They also provide bags of food to those in need especially at Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas. Since COVID 19 the Knights have suspended these deliveries and hope to restart the collection of food for Solanus Casey Soup Kitchen on April 2021.
